now i wanted an aux fuel tank to sync carbs and just be able to work on the bike without the tank so i made one for $12
went to o rileys auto parts and got this bad boy
it was like $7 and some change
it has an on/off, filter and lid
then what i did was get a 1/4" male to male connector which fit perfectly on the end of the funnel. $2
the i just put some plumbing tape and some zip ties just for good measure but i doubt i needed too. i also put a fuel filter on it that was laying around that was probably not needed either......
then on the end i took a 1/4" Y tube thing to split the single tube into 2 since u need 2 fuel lines to the cb550 $2
so with tax its around $12-13 for the essentials
there is also another tread with a professional cheap aux fuel tank but it was to expensive for me lol even though the title says $20 it was more like $25 with shipping and the rubber bung to be able to fill it with a funnel.... and i didnt want to wait 2-3 days for it to come in the mail hahaha
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=106348.0but its a very legit aux tank. if i wouldve planed ahead i probably wouldve went that route but my $12 does the job very very well
finished product
sorry the flood light stand kinda makes the last picture confusing looking
