The middle plug wires have reached their cut-down limit, so it's time to switch the coils (and boots?). I'm trying to decide on stock or something aftermarket. Do either run better with an electronic ignition system (already in place)? Also a link to a good parts source would be appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time!

Well you could splice in new wires and there is a faq on that but I prefer new coils.
With points, to keep down on maintenance, stick with 5 ohm coils. They do not need to be oem though. Any dual wire 5 ohm will do fine.
If you have an electronic, check its ohm rating but you may be able to go with 3 ohm coils such as those on the later cb750 dohc or the cb900. Those have replaceable wires.

After pricing a Honda coil, I went with the Pamco Ultimate with coils with replaceable wires. Check cb750supply. The coil #s are in the content list so probably available separately. Very nice people to deal with.

Would definitely recommend dyna coils, 5 ohm.  They're smaller than the stock coils and free up a little space for wiring.

+1 on Dyna coils. Excellent product, and stick with the 5 ohm setup.

Pamco Ultimate contains everything for not that much $$$$. As separate part cost much more.

I already have the electronic ignition- I just need the coils/wires. Does someone have a link to the 5ohm Dyna coils and wires?

Okay-found a link to the coils: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/13/123/27907/ITEM/Dynatek-5-ohm-Coil.aspx

Next question- angled output or straight? I'm guessing angled would be the way to go since they're aimed toward the front. I need to figure out the wires, too
