ManxGP
« on: August 03, 2012, 06:46:07 AM »
Getting a bit nervous, just a few days and will leave for the 2012 ManxGP on the Isle of Man, with my two sons Graeme and Bryan. Finally meeting Alex (member Darvill Racing here) in person. Hoping to meet some more along the way, know LordMoonpie will be there. Also nice to meet in person.
Alex allowing me to ride one of the Peter Darvill bikes at the Jurby festival August 26th. Hope to have a lot of fun. Feel very privileged.
Also hope to see some interesting bikes and races of course......

First plan was to go by airplane, but find it too much hassle. So taking the van up to Calais trough the Tunnel, and then on to Liverpool and then..........voila!

If you're running ahead of time when you reach Junction 21 M6 (last one before M62) and fancy an English cuppa tea, I'm just 3 minutes from that junction, you and your family are more than welcome.
If you need an overnight stay, I can manage 3 to 4 at a push.

0797 172 1693 is my cell. From a Dutch phone, I think you have to put 44 and remove the 0.
That would make it 44 797 172 1693, pehaps it would be a good idea to check or you can just use a public phone fron any service area on the motorway network.

Hey what you saying Alex?! Sounds like I'm a bad smell compared to the other guys....mind you, if I've been to Deveraux's first then you'd be right :D

Looking forward to the trip too even thogh I'm doubtful the bike will be ready and reliable for the parade lap, the final electrical parts are somewhere between here and the USA right now :-(

Hope to see you all soon!

PS - Alex, do you have any contact details for SAnthony 'Slick' Bass on the island? I hear he has a good dyno setup and knows what to do with classic bikes...
