cb550 flat spot?

on my cb550 i feel that coming up on the throttle in first gear or any other gear there is a flat spot mid power band is this normal?
1975 CB550 (FINISHED?!?!?)
first motorcycle ever!!! ow and i dont know how to ride it either :D

wow so there is actually a flat spot and i wasent imagining things or my bike isnt messed up thats all i wanted to know!! very nice

next time i take the carb off ill move the jet needle clip thing one notch

Mine has a flat spot. Idle to about 3.5k. The other spot is referred to as the power band I hear. I probably wouldn't have noticed it as much if I hadn't had the 750 first. :)

Yes, no fun below 4000rpm with the small fours. A quiet exhaust along with a lot of downshifting helps alot ;)
I just don't get how some people run their coffee "racers" with open pipes. Either they must be deaf or ride them like mopeds.
