ebay returns
« on: June 24, 2006, 01:49:00 AM »
ok heres a quick question....

I bought something off of ebay from someone who said ti was for my 1982 cb650sc nighthawk but when i received it its completly off and wont fit and appears to be from a completly different honda bike which he is now parting out.

I emailed him to ask how to go about returning this useless item to him since he DID state it was specifically for my bike AND said nothing of returns in his original post.  I also had paid via paypal.

Has anyone had any luck with situations like this? I'm waiting to see how he responds.  If he will not accept a return would I be able to dispute it via paypal?  any suggestions or people experiences in similar would help.

Don't wait - if they haven't responded to an email in a day or so, launch a dispute with PayPal.  There's a specific description for goods received not as they were described in the auction.  If you wait too long you can't open a dispute.

i just sent the email last night so I'll see if he gets back to me today. If not I will probably send a dispute tonight or tomorrow.

Wolf,
I filed one dispute with paypal, and got my money back.  If you get no satisfaction, do it.

If it is from a Vincent or a Manx, don't through it away yet. ;)

Post a picture here and I bet someone can identify it.
