cb750 kick stopper pin; not the one that removes the shaft
« on: August 04, 2012, 02:19:17 PM »
Hey everyone,
im looking to take the pin out that holds the stainless steel/shiny pin into the crankcase. its the piece that the kick start flange rests back on when it returns. i got my cases glass beaded and i want to get this pin out to make sure i clean out any glass that may have gotten in there. looking at the diagram on bike bandit, it appears that the thin pin that is perpendicular to the shiny one, holds it in place. the other end of the shiny pin is grooved where the thin one meets it to hold it in place. i tried vice grips but had no luck. i dont want to break it because the are no longer available on bike bandit. any idea?

kind of figured it out. the pin i thought that was holding it in, was. i got it out and was able to move the shiny one back and fourth. but, i could move it all the way to the kickstart side, but could not remove. the next cast wall got in the way. backing it out and going the opposite way was an option but honda installed an end cap on the bore from the previous cast wall and i dont know how to get it out. any one know what im talking about? anyone try to take it out?
