Hi

Sorry for the delay in posting again.
Some may know but my bikes were being looked after by a friend who decided to set fire to his Commando in the garage ::)
He told me that my bikes had a "bit of smoke damage"
Anyway, I know have space & after having raced the Foale & loved it, need to get started.
This has all got a move on as my son brought a Yoshimura 460 project for the road. Lots of work to do there so!
We have nicked the engine,forks brakes to get the Kirby going. ;D
If you can help identify the team/rider who's paint job is shown in the photos of my "smoke damaged tank" I would love to know.
I need to see if I can clean up the frame with cutting compound as the sticky gunk takes some moving.

Hi all

This frame is really light. Built for the Formula 2 class ie TT. Engine was a 400/4 fitted with a 350 crank & a 460 Yoshimura big bore. I am told the 350 cranks extra stroke? makes a 498cc engine?
Lots of wonderful details, ie the shock mounting nuts are welded to the frame. Headstock is 5 & 3/8th & machined for 30205 taper roller bearings, ie Seeley sizes. I was told by the man I got it from, that he brought it for the TZ front end. It was fitted with a TZ fairing.
Things have moved on a pace since Donnington. A retired ex Olins engineer has made a new damper rod (larger) new seals to suit & re built the Spax (twin spar?) shock absorber.
Still would like an original De Carbon shock 250 or 260mm long as per original.
New stem 25mm dia arriving next week. I will be fitting the twin discs front end from the Yoshi 460. Thanks Tel of Telsport engineering. He also has a cheap exhaust system so I will have the dry build done this season. The Yoshi engine has a clean filter & sump. Dont want to look too much further st the moment.

Also I do have the removable front down tube ;D

thanks for the info on the stroke. I thought it was wrong but you start questioning yourself when someone tells you otherwise. ;D
