Beurocracy ?spelling?
Good luck getting it finalized. Migh be tough to impossible to prevent it from having a salvage title...if it is rebuildable.

The  CX I have weighs about 450-480 and all the CX and GL 500/650 designs are top heavy but not bad when you learn their handling.  Moving with feet up I don't notice it hardly at all.
New 700x bike from Honda is suppose to be nice if you don't fight it and let the economy  or sport settings control the shifing. Its flat twin design makes the cg low.
Well, the story is, the estimate was supposed to go to the "total review committee" but instead got routed to the payout desk, and they simply cut the checkand mailed it. I sent it back. Final settlement scheduled for 3PM today. They've been very good to work with (State Farm). I don't think "salvage titles" exist in Indiana. They said if I keep it, I have to sign an affidavit. But nothing changes on the title. At least as far as its been discussed. I'll find out.

So... they hauled away my FJR a few minutes ago. Man that hurts. Serial number xxx47. My baby.

I kept a few custom parts for resale. But I got such a good settlement, I didn't try to squeeze it, keep the good bag or anything. Just pay it forward, someone else can maybe make a buck.

I got more than if i had tried to sell it as a runner, about $6100. And it was due for some major service, tires, major tuneup, etc.  So i'll just bank it, finish some projects, tend to my wounds and physical condition.

If I ever replace it, it will have to be with something smaller. May have been natures way of telling me its time to downsize.  I'd love to get my HawkGT and the Super Hawk back on the road. Easy to handle those.

Phaedrus will be my new big bike, as it was for decades before.

Maybe it's for the best?  It would always be in the back of your head that you went down on it.
