Marving exhaust fitting to 750F1
« on: August 06, 2012, 01:24:16 PM »
Hi, is it possible to remove the 8 exhaust studs from my '76 750 F1 and fit the 4 exhaust stubs from an earlier K series? Are the cylinder heads the same? I,ve been given a Marving system for an earlier model with no fittings, and don,t want to spend £200+ on a full fitting kit if it won,t fit .Any help would be appreciated.Carl.

Hi Carl yes you can take the studs out and fit the stubs only thing you will have to check is the f1 is different to the k series round the back brake pedal area  ;), cheers Mick.

I believe that when studs and flanges are used there are copper crush washers in the bottom of the exhaust port. You most likely will need to remove those before you seat the stub type in their place.

I would be interested in seeing a pic of the Marving fitted to your bike, particularly where it is supported at the back.
Thanks

Both styles need the copper washers.
