Topic: 1978 F-3 super sport air box?

I have a 1978 750 F-3 super sport w/o an  airbox .  It has four single pod filters and I want to buy the proper original air box for  a 78 F-3 .    What are the differences for an F3 vs  any other K model or  others ?   Eveyone on eBay acts like they are all the same but I want to make sure I buy the correct one !  I have read the F-3 was differnt but not sure if it is the same as 76&77 super sport models too ?   Please tell what to look for specifically and what to look out for also ?  THANKS for any assistance !

As far as I know the box has 'CB750F' molded into the side near the bottom flange of the upper half........maybe the rubber 'stacks' are a different size for the carbs.   I am only guessing after looking at some spare boxes in my stash.

This one is dirty, hard to tell if it is in bad shape or not,  the seller should clean it up.

I just went to the garage and had a look , my F3  is stamped  HM  CB750 F - F

The air box for the models with the PD carbs have larger holes for the velocity stacks. These models include the F2, F3 and I think the K7 and K8. The one in the link given by 2Wheels will fit the F3. Pat

The one shown in the e-bay link is correct for your bike.  The 1977 and 1978 F and K models used that type.  The difference from the earlier years is that the new models have the emissions canister hose connector at the top of the air box.
