New guy from Wisconsin
« on: August 08, 2012, 05:41:25 PM »
If you've been in the Cycle X racing thread, you probably have already seen my forum name.

I work at Cycle X.  For lack of an official title, I'm the office manager.  If you order something, chances are I packed it.  Yes, I was the guy on the phone who took your order, or printed it out and then packed it.

To be honest, my knowledge about bikes is very limited.  I know enough to be "competent" and answer the very basic questions, or at least help someone through the logic, but if you want technical information, I'm giving the phone to Ken.

But, one thing this job has done for me, is convince me that I'm getting a bike larger than my '85 Honda Elite CH150.   :o  Yes, I ride the "spacey" (when it runs).  I'd upload pics, but I don't need to kill all of my internet cred all in one fell swoop.

Some might call this being a kiss-ass, but I love working at Cycle X.  I learn something new every day.  It's the first job that I've had in a long time that I don't dread going to every day.

As time goes on, I may have some questions for you, but chances are, working with the guy I call "The Mad Scientist" I don't think I'll be lacking for local knowledge.

How could you not? ;D
Howdy! Welcome!
Well heck yeah you're gonna need a bigger bike. Gotta take advantage of that employee discount, right? ;)

Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

Welcome to the forum.

Of course since you work for Cycle-X and you told us, then you may get Cycle-X questions.

You may want to be cautious about that.

I am sure you will learn a lot at Cycle-X and this forum.

Appreciate the welcome folks.

It may be sacrilege, but right now, I'm trying to convince Ken to part with the '99 Suzuki SV650 that he's got at the shop.  I may win.  I may lose.  I'm going to be fine either way I'm sure.

:)

Oh, and madmtnmotors, love the 250.  Though I think my 150 may have more horsepower.  With more poundage, my 150 will do 60ish with me on it (and not just a couple of pounds).  That's on flat ground.  Not too bad...
