What did you make that out of, foam blocks and sanding?

The flat base is blue insulation foam; cut then final shape with a disk sander to keep the edge perpendicular. The hump is green florist foam. You can use the blue foam for the entire seat but the green is easier/faster to cut and sand. The rolled eddge is a piece of 1/2" OD tubing. It helps hide the edge of the seat pan and give it smooth line.
Heres a photo of the finished product from my cb450 made the same way.

The mold made with only blue foam. You don't need the rolled edge if you're gonna snap on the cover.

Awesome, thanks for the info!  Both of the other seats came out great.  Is the blue stuff in the top picture some special tape for the glass to help release it?  And are the molds destroyed after each use?  (Last questions promise)

I've started making my own seat but with the pink insulation foam board, it takes forever to sand.  I bet the floral foam is probably the better option.  After you fiberglass the mold, do you use body filler to make a smooth surface to paint?

It's 3M blue tape. the molds are destroyed after each use, But you can reuse the 1/2" tubing.

Body filler is used to smooth out the surface. the floral foam is much easier to shape but you have to make the seat immediatly. The foam shrinks a little after you sand it.
