I recently finished (i hoped) putting my engine back together after replacing rings, light port/polish, new cam chain, seals, etc.. Got it started, and noticed a small leak forming in the middle gasket, (between the jugs and the head). I wasn't too surprised due to the fact I watched a video AFTER rebuilding mine, that showed the trick of gluing in the rubber nickels. When I got the valve cover off, I noticed all four of them had oil seeping out. I also used a torque wrench that was too big, and I didn't wait 24 hours to recheck the torque on the head bolts.
My first question is: should I replace the new gasket(s) if they have been soaked with oil? or can I wipe em down & re-use them?
Plus, my manual does not include the four bolts that are under the rubber nickels, or the long bolt on the back of the head in the tightening sequence..torque settings for these are not given also. I'm sure I tightened them wrong.
Can anyone help?
