well first of all- hellow everyone,as i can see there are lots of knowledgable & very talanted people here on this forum! i like it!! well i always wanted to pick up a 1975 cb 750 as it was the very first bike that i have ever ridden and owned and now i have one, my intentions were and now are to completely restor it,i was thinking about going cafe/bobber style which i think is awesome but now i have decided to go stock.my plan is to put lots of miles on this ride, so i think i will be a little more comfortable with the bike as it was built from the factory,the question is.....the blue that was on this bike from orig is now not there as someone has painted it over!!so how and where can i get the paint code??? can anyone help... i am sure as the build proceeds i will have lots more??? to come but for now 1 thing at a time i guess,also looking forward to geting to know everyone here,thanks

Welcome aboard dave, glad to have ya. The paint code &/or formula should be on site somewhere, use our search function & be patient.  Or another member may be able to point you right there quickly.  Once you get up to 5 posts you can post pictures ( & we all love em).  Congrats on the new aquisition, we'll help you get her on the road.

Hello Dave,

These bikes seem to be very popular! So many new builds. Glad I am not the only one cutting teeth at the moment.

pretty cool is all i can say.....i remember there were times when i saw these bikes  siting in sheds/ garages,back yards, everywhere else, (all over the place)!! the only thing they were good for was colecting dust and geting in the way(was never my opinion)  now look at what these gems are good for.the fact that i can sit here and brows at all of your bikes/projects and chat with all of you, see what's being done with these ride's, colecting ideas/opinions and on top of that just admiring the projects and work that i see done with these bikes just tell's me that i have joined the perfect family of realists.......awesome,my opinion. Not only that but when asking questions and for opinions you get results! thats great,as i stated in one of my earlier posts my first motorcycle was a 750 four and now starting the build on one that i just picked up, real nice shape if i might add!! the tank is spotless inside as i was so surprised and happy with that, but now i am torn between the cafe style and the factory look. my idea for this bike is to ride it, put some miles on and appreciate what i have but when i see whats been done with these rides my mind is just all over the place(guess thats the fun of it all it seems)thanks

Welcome to the forum I am also restoring one K2 but to the  original condition.
Stay with original and when you get another one then do the cafe racer .

well now.........this is not good,as i was tearing the bike down i noticed that the frame is twisted and to make things even better my paint guy called me tonight and told me that the tank looked real nice with the paint still on it,but with the paint stripped junk!!!so i went and took a look and he wasn't kidding,holes/dents  everywhere,so now i need a 1972,73,74,or 75 frame and tank just my luck.
