This project has been on the back burner for some time, but not that I am turning 40 on September 1st and my CB750 is 40 I figure this is as good of a time as any.
She may not look like much, but she is a strong runner Tony you were right.
Parts List & Planned Upgrades
1. Steering stem tapered bearings - All balls
2. Bronze swing arm bushings
3. New tires
4. Possible 811 Kit .5 oversize
5. Heavy duty studs
6. Serdi valve job with bronze guides
7. Sandblast or powercoat frame
8 New wiring harness.
9. New chain and sprockets
10. Seals and gaskets throughout
11. Repair or replace broken unicorn triple tree clamp
12. Sweet Original Kerker 4 into 1.
Wish List
1. Race cut gears.
2. Cycle X Super Rods or carillo
3. Lightened crank?
4. MReick porting.
5. Mega cycle 123 cam close to sandcast.
Day 1 A good start with tank and side covers painted silver metallic flake. Phase I for candy sunrise orange.
Day 2 Get motor out and bike stripped.
Day 3 Pound out neck race and work on swing arm bushings
Day 4 Drop bike at sandblaster and think about powder or paint
Day 5 Inspect top end and drop off at machine shop. Rebuild carbs.
Day 6 Get parts back from sandblaster and work on forks, brakes etc..
Day 7,8 Powder or paint frame
Days 9, 10, 11, 12 Work on lower end making sure all is good here.
Day 13, 14, 15 Get Parts back from machine shop and resemble top end.
Day 16, 17 Finishing painting tank and side covers Maybe
Day 18 Ride.
