Definitely a 630 on mine...and from what I can tell...it's the original.
I wish I knew more about the history of the bike...It must have been very well cared for...and only had 10,000 miles when I got it.
Doesn't look like there was ever a bolt turned on it. It's not a museum piece...but very clean...No rust on any bolt heads or shock springs...just a bit of fading on the instrument faces...
I'm not sure what kind of milage you could expect the original chain to give...if it was ridden gently and properly lubed.
From what I've read here the Auto Chain oiler was deleted before 1977.
Although I haven't checked the front sprocket...the rear looks basically new...and the chain fits well almost no slack at the center of the rear sprocket. My main complaint is that it sure seems NOISY!!!
I think I'll pull the front cover and check the sprocket there...wouldn't hurt to clean out all the old chain lube grunge there anyway.
I'll keep looking and see what I can find for a 530 conversion.
