Thanks for all the great replies. Last night I pull an exhaust value and low and behold no seals! So after all the worry it looks like it was for nothing. The only major problems I have found are galled wrist pins, a left over wrench bit, and there is some rust on the final drive bearing.
The lower end stuff seems alot more complicated than the top end. I am not even sure what counts as rounded off when it comes to a pin on gears or forks. O well. I will keep at it.
