New of FRANCE
« on: August 16, 2012, 11:42:05 PM »
Hello, my name is jean.
I am 60 years old. I live in France has PARIS.
I am retired and my pass time honda 500 four, 750 four and GL 1000 is old bykes restoration.
I make party of a small club. Here, there is a lot of people which likes the former honda but it is very difficult to find tehniques solutions. I often cross(go through) the net to try to find technical solutions because parts are very cheres here. We are obliged to buy in England or in the USA.
I often read your forum and have the pleasant surprise to see persons who are also interressées by technical solutions to the slightest.
At present I redo an engine of GL 1000 K3 and I need your knowledge on the restoration of the shock absorber of couple of the primary driven. I read queque part which one of you tried to make rubbers but I do not find answer.
Seen the price of the part, it would be good to share with everybody it. I Think of the German club which keeps that for him.
I am sorry for my English because it is very bad.
Thank you for your answers.
Cordially Jean

Welcome hingant.
I also live in France but 2 and a half hours away from you.The old bikes here  are great but you are right parts can be pricey.
I have also found Germany is a good source for pieces and some reasonably priced. You have come to the right place for information regarding the good old Honda's.
Best of luck

Welcome from Texas!

It is very cool that we have members from all over the world expressing their interest  in the old Hondas. I plan to visit France in the next couple of years.
