I think he must hang out in the South Side Dive Bar at night!?
....and during the day!
...and you'd both be mistaken! You won't find a single post from me in the SSDB. While I HAVE looked in it a few times, I knew that posting in there would make it pop up in the Show posts buttons above. I didn't find the SSDB all that meaningful for daily perusal. So, no posting there for me.
Anyway, the very existence of the SSDB (and much of the open forum), makes personal posts counts uninteresting and irrelevant, to me. It doesn't seem like a particularly stellar feat to poke the "post" button multiple times. It's the whole quality vs, quantity, thing.
I do find it odd that so many posts seem to turn personal about me. Particularly when our esteemed leader has made a point in instructing NOT to make posts personal.
...Now, back to the er "technical" part of the show....
Cheers,
P.S. I will admit to the influence of wintergreen oil and carb cleaner fumes while creating my original post in this thread. Still, it seems amazingly lucid and truthful, if not humorous, even now.
In essence, if you discount what people have changed since the bike was new, you're left with a very good bike, indeed. The problems with the bike are almost solely due to owner meddling, and lot's of that can happen to a machine in existence for 30-40 years.
