Texas Crew Harvest Classic Meet Up
« Reply #25 on: September 06, 2012, 10:55:09 AM »
Just got my travel itinerary for October. I specifically told the people at ESPN who handle the travel that I needed to fly home on the 19th. But no they booked my return on the 20th so I'm out

I think I might try and make it.  Work might get in the way, but I'll see what I can do.

Sounds like a blast.

I am IM.  So is Robynn.  We may even have a full contingent from Houston riding the whole way on old hardware, hoping for a group of 5-8, maybe more if we're lucky.  It's a great event - this will be my second year.  I won't miss another if I can help it.

Definitely!  We are planning to get there Friday, I believe.  I want to camp in the grounds both nights.  The earlier we can get one of our "people" there to stake out an area, the better campsite we will have.  Last year, we got there mid-day on Friday, and most of the choice camp spots were spoken for.  We grabbed an OK area that, unfortunately, was on a bit of a slope.

I'm going to come.  Last year at Barber's I was so onery and mean when I got there I didn't want to talk to anybody!  So a closer event is good.  We should put our actual names in our signature or something so we at least know who we are.

I got it in my forecast. It might just be a stop on the way to L.A. for me..
the westcoast needs to be terrorizied from bikeback this year.

All right!  I'll bring the Knob Creek...

What do you think of "Tennessee Honey" by Jack Daniels?
I like it smells great and it is very smooth compared to No. 7 which I am not a fan of at all.
Knob Creek is good...
I'm not much of a drinker and prefer to be designated driver...

Thanks, quick part number search looks like they are different cables.  Last three numbers are different.  I ordered a new stock one but it won't be here until the 26th at the earliest.  I'm sending in my shortened one to have MotionPro make me one that hopefully won't come apart like the one I made.

Hey all I'll be heading over to Bike Night at Doc's on Congress tomorrow (Tuesday) night.  Cool bikes and great beer to go with perfect weather.  Swing by if you can make it, starts around 7:30.

Us Houston folks - ok, mainly Robynn and I - are surveying our options for riding out to Luckenbach.  What's the plan with the Austin gang?  I know there is a scooter group riding out from Austin at 9:30am that Friday morning.

If I'm not done with my engine rebuild, I'll be sporting the Duc.  Not a bad option, but not my Honda.  Robynn will be on her trusty tractor, I  mean KLR  ::)

If all goes well at work, I plan to be there by Noon on Friday (I'm building out an architect's office and going for final inspections next week).

Chris - think you'd be there by 1-2pm?

Am wondering if any folks from the DFW area are gonna ride down on Friday?
Or trailering?
Working in Grapevine and gonna try to get off on Friday.
Was thinking of 16 down to Fredburg and then over to Luckenbach.

Last I heard was Gordon couldn't make it and Joe (CBGhia) and Rick (Really?) were doubtful.  You working up there?

We are hoping to land there by noon, too.  That's when they open the gates, so we want to be there to scope out a good campsite.  I'm not sure who all will be riding in our group, but we do have more folks coming later in the day - really looking forward to this!

I am!  Actually, I am the main organizer of this year's event.  We have a great rally planned (and more good stuff in the works) for that weekend.

I have a real interest in getting some more Hondas there, so if you're interested in the least, c'mon down!  Steve, I'm looking at you . . .

Joe (CBGhia) will be one of our guest judges for the bike show.  I'll get the schedule posted very soon.  So far, we have easily more than $1,000 in just raffle give-aways (including two pairs of boots from Redwing Herritage - you get to choose the ones you want!, swag from Biltwell, Telleson, local motorcycle shops, etc).
