I'll believe it when I see it..

I hear ya there, CR.   This could be one of those hyped up news stories that we've been through before.

On the other hand, we could get all washed away down Grape Creek!

If it's any consolation F1 at CoA will probably get rained out as well.

And rain, it did.  Saturday was nothing but wet. About 3 AM, it hit us hard.  Didn't stop until this morning, around 9.

So how was the turn out?  Been raining for two days here in Houston.  It's still raining.  Looks like we're going to get every last drop.

It was mostly a bust this year.  :-\
I rode the truck out.
Friday afternoon was ok but it rained like hell Friday night and most folks bailed Saturday morning with few showing up for Saturday.
There was maybe ~150 people there Saturday afternoon.

I would not say it was a bust.

Those of us that rode or brought our bikes had good, dry rides on Friday, the sun was even out for awhile.

Sean & Marty grilled us a great steak & lamb chop dinner, then the Toadies rocked out in the Hall Friday night!

Saw some awesome bikes, especially that 1926 Royal Enfield and although my project CB550 wasn't running all that well [ChrisP blew by me on his K3!] I worked a deal on a good set of carbs w/Joe.

It was good to see the crew from the DFW & Houston areas, we had some good laughs! All in all, a good time.

Amen brotha Stev-o! It wasn't the ideal setting but would do it all over again! I had an awesome time with the DFW/Austin/Houston crew. I am glad to be already in my warm dry bed though. We should make another topic to plan a spring time camp in the Austin area.

Well then I will say I certainly had far less fun this year and I felt the event was considerably diminished from previous years.  ;)

I had a great time!  Went down Thursday and camped in Lago Vista with my buddies Marty and Shaun.  Marty rides this really big Kawasaki venture and pulls a small trailer. We grilled out and chilled Thursday. Got to Luckenbach on Friday and had a nice day.  The Toadies were awesome!

The storm hit Friday night.  We got wet... really, really wet.  But it didn't matter.

Watched a couple of cool bands and people really stepped up for the auction this year.  They probably raised more from the auction this year than in any previous.

The show sucked, but what are you going to do?  We still had fun and I loved seeing my peeps from Austin and Houston.

Glad you guys had a good time on Friday - sorry I missed that part of it.  I'm bummed that I didn't get to prove that I've actually got an old Honda.  I'll be working on the 550 and will bring both next year.

Getting there early enough on Friday to actually get a shirt that fit was one of the bright spots of the weekend!  :D ::)

Was it wet and on a girl?

In Juneau AK the  Panhandlers used to have wet t- shirts as part of the Boogie 'til you PUKE annual event.  I didn't have a bike up there so I'm not sure if it even involved a ride. Seems like the wet XS t-shirts shrank to the point that they became uncomfortable and some got torn offf....

Good article, thanks for sharing.  The flood pic was right by our campsite!  I woke up at 3am during that downpour and thought we could get washed away!

Speaking of the tee-shirts again, I just noticed this unfortunate typo... ::)
I hope they got a refund!

Hey Boys and Girls.....it's almost that time again.   The Harvest Classic is about 7 weeks out, mark your calendar for Oct 21-23.

I can personally guarantee it will not rain this year!!!

Registration is open, schedule is still in development.   Who's in?!

Wow, that's a bold claim.

You know I am down.  Not sure what bike I will be on, but I will find something to ride.
