Here's a better shot of the missing o-rings as I was pulling the gasket off, in between the cylinders you can see the receiver grooves with no o-rings...I was taken back by their abscence honestly, seems pretty important to me.  I'm going to get ahold of the original owner and see if it has ever had the head gasket replaced or anything like that, just seems strange with all the original hardware being completely unmarred when I took it apart, factory techs are usually pretty rough on that kind of stuff.

Thats funny my K1 didnt have O rings either and I know the po. I dont believe he ever had the cylinder off.

Bodywork came in!  Looks great, I'm pretty happy with it  overall, one run one the headlight bucket, but whatever...better/more pics this weekend...barely have enough time to post this update...bodywork is loosely hung on for storage reasons.

And a heads up, those Sudco emblems are total pieces of crap, broke BOTH attempting to match the contour of the tank.  I was pretty mad that $50 netted me only tank emblem inserts.  I'll refurbish a stock set of Honda emblems long before I'll buy another set.  Total garbage.

I was watching them until about 15 mins to go, and had to let them go, amazing how much they brought...sickening from a buyers perspective, awesome for the seller.  Are the $200 yamiyas better or are they just reboxed sudco's?

I highly doubt the Yamiya's are same as Sudco's.  Yamiya has reputation for the best repro stuff available.
Otoh, there is a breakage warning right on Yamiya's site.  Hmmmm.

Are your original badges really that bad?

One side took a pretty good hit from where the P.O. laid it down on the right side, i'll have to get some pictures of the originals, one's good enough to redo, the other...meh, not so good. I might just try to find another tank badge that needs some TLC and resto the potential pair of them...Not going through the sudco experience again, I went bananas when the second badge broke on me and snapped them both in half...in hindsight, not the smartest move, but made me feel much better at the time.

Better shot of the shell.

Headlight ears, buffed reflectors, new trim rings

Airbox mostly assembled...still missing some rubber parts.

New turn signals, used lift handle, fender, splash guard, and seat installed.

Can somebody inform me; did that year of bike have a factory clear-coat? If not, did you decide to clear-coat? Did you put a coat of clear over the tank graphics?

I don't think the K0 ever did, I've got an NOS tank and it appears to just be a non-clear type candy... The paint is much thinner on the Honda paint tank.  I can't decide whether or not to put the caution labels back on the respray stuff.  Thanks for the compliments on the paint!

Yeah that's a tough call. Unless you're going for concours points I wouldn't.
