Ok, cool, if I can still get them from Honda, I'll just have another eBay selling marathon to raise the funds for it.  I'll be sure to nit-pick every single one of them, especially at $1,400 a set.  Thanks again guys, don't know what I'd do without the help I get here.

In a way, I got some good news...it turns out I was asking my dad if he had of or knew anyone that had some early honda pipes for sale, and it turns out he has a decent set of 341's I can use until I get a set of my own.  The chrome is nice, but they're the wrong number and one or two are patched on the bottom...but still better than not having a set right? 

I think for the price difference (hm300 @$1,400 versus the numberless yamiyas for $2,000 plus shipping) I'll just wait and buy the correct yamiya's when I get the cash and use the 341's until then. 

So, if you see a red 70' 750 with 341's at barbers...don't rag me too hard, it's all I could afford.

Well...I got my tank emblems in today...and to just be honest, they look pretty crummy, but I knew that going in...definitely will be scouting for a deal on yamiya's emblems or some NOS tank emblems.

They feel to be a more brittle pot metal than the originals, but they are metal though.

I got them off eBay from Everett Motorsports I believe, they said they had paint defects, so I am kinda on the hook for these.  I might see how well I can repaint my damaged original and how well I can trim it out by hand.  If it turns out pretty well, I'll  redo these when the humidity drops below 80%+ here.

I checked the bars and I do not think they are for a Honda... I am thinking they came off of my KZ

Tews19, thanks for looking man, but don't worry about it I ordered some replica bars AND just bought a set of supposedly rust and dent free HM300's from Utah off eBay.  Pictures were fuzzy, so I was figuring they might have been taken by an older guy that couldn't figure picture size and stuff out.  He had 100% feedback and there is a return policy too, so it looked worth the risk.  Said they were just dirty...we'll see soon enough.

Hi Dan, just found this thread now - nice score.
The original tank badges are made of aluminum.  They are quite soft and will bend to shape easily, however the mounting lugs are very brittle and prone to breaking.  Is there any reason I missed as to why you arent re-using them to keep the bike original?  They can be repainted quite easily if you have the patience.  Simply strip, paint and remove the raised edges and outer edges....

Thanks, the big selling point was location, if hm300's could survive anywhere, Utah or Nevada would be it.  In descending order of importance, 14 day return policy, 100% feedback with over 100 feedbacks, assumed condition (he said no damage or rust), and affordable shipping.

I'll post up pics of em when they get here, hopefully the shields are satin finish on it and the header clamps are good.

I was going to redo my stock ones, but the one on the right side had some rash on it, looks like the bike went down lightly on the right at some point, the triple clamp was broke, points cover has some light rash, has K3 bars on it...just looks like an easy down on the right side.  With what I'm finding, I'm wondering just how original it was.

I've got a boatload of parts coming in this week, can't wait!

Thank you for the kind words, the main concern is getting Marbles Motors to get my bodywork done in the time frame specified.  If they have it done right before the show, I'm bringing the bike and assembling it there on my bike trailer, just installing the bodywork that is.  I'll get absolutely everything else done, brakes, engine, tires, exhaust, ignition and syncing and rebuilding the carbs ahead of time.  I'll make it one way or another lol.

Haha, I was seriously considering that...I picked up a set of 300's yesterday that are supposedly passable with a clean up, but we'll see once they get here.

Made a little progress today, got the hubs and some random nick-knacks returned to stock appearance, cut the old spokes out, need to clean the rims really good while I can get to everything before they're respoked and trued.  Tires came in, 3.25x19 front and 4.00x18 rear Dunlop K70's...they look like bicycle tires compared to my newer bikes ;D.

On some of parts what I'm doing is polishing them to a shiny finish then brushing it back with either 400 grit sandpaper, #0000 steel wool with windex, or green scotchbrite, all give a different sheen, I'm copying factory one piece at a time.

On second glance between the front hub and the rear hub, I may strip it and sand it back again and use the steel wool to get a brighter finish...they definitely don't match as you can tell in the picture above.

This project has been kinda hard to schedule time for really and finding time to correct little mistakes like this is hard, I'm running 2 5k's (one at 8:30 am monday morning...), moving, school full time, and I'm married.  I can only imagine if a kid were thrown in the mix...argh...lol.  I'll keep pecking away at it and it'll get done before Barber's assuming that Marbles Motors can get my tins resprayed and back on time.  Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm really trying to give this bike what it deserves!
