New guy from Nashville, TN.

Hello fellow Honda enthusiasts! My name is Alex, Im 24 years old. I have been looking and looking for a place to call my home as far as my obsession with motorcycles goes. It seems that every time I have a question that I have always been brought here, be it google or fellow bikers.

I have always been into the Honda motorcycle since I can literally remember. My dad had an assortment along with his brothers while growing up on a farm in Southeastern Ontario... To name a few 1976 Honda CB750, 1975 Honda CB750, 1979 Honda CB650, 1969 Honda CB350, 1983 Honda CX650 Turbo, and many many more that were already claimed by the harsh Canadian winters. I guess I just was meant to be a gear head. I love two wheels and I love love love carb'd bikes.

Funny little story, my buddy and I were talking to a friend which mentioned an "old rusty honda bike" in one of the barns on his property. So we went straight away to look at it, we found a very very sad 1970 CB450 laying on its side in the barn almost buried in dirt. We went straight back to him to talk about what he wanted to do with it, after much talking about the bike he actually told my friend to take it home and that if he got it going that he could have it. We got it going and managed to limp it over to his house to show him. He was grinning ear to ear and held up his end of the deal. I want an experience like this for myself, and I dream fro the day that I stumble across another one such as this for myself.

So, my bike... Its a 1972 Honda CB350F hence the reason that I'm here. I found it shortly after digging the old 450 out of the barn, and just had to have it. I bought it for 125 buckaroos and loaded it into my truck not knowing a thing about it and basing everything on looks. It looked decent for sitting in a barn since 1980, still had dirt and rust everywhere. I couldn't wait to dig into it. After 7 hours and much cursing it fired up and idled perfectly. The tank was in poor shape. Carbs. Basically everything. It needs work, but its my baby and I will bring her back to her original glory. Here she is.

After the clip on install.

Has anyone seen a tank like that? Ive seen only ONE more identical to it and it was on a 550F. So weird, but I kinda like it. Its crisp and clean, but not one once of bond or filler.

    I also have a thing for Honda Z50s. I have owned many and love every minute of riding them. Ive owned or own 2 1998 Z50rs, 1 1991 Z50r, 1 1986 Z50r, and a 1995 Z50r.

Plans for the CB include a basic restoration mixed with just a tad of cafe/brat, as well as some modern style (not a huge fan of cafe seats at all). Lots of polishing and powder coating. As of now I built a set of clip ons, and have been running it up and down the road. It has been slowly getting better and better, but I have a ways to go. I bought some pods for it because it didn't have the factory air box, but I decided to source a box and install it to give a more factory look to the motor. I wish I had some more time to do things, but welding school has been eating it up for the past 2 years and I haven't been able to do what I want to as of right now, but that is soon to change.

Im happy I finally signed up and I hope that I can be as much help as the people that have helped me through out the last year or so.

Thank you sir. It was a nice deal for the shape. He had to make rent, so I scooped it.

Do you mean Nashville or the forum? Anyhow, welcome from another CB350F owner in WNC.
