I thought about making a cafe', but I couldn't bring myself to hack up a perfectly good bike that just needs some love.

This is what I started with... windshield and luggage rack had to be taken off.

Then the tank got some love... several hours of hand polishing and wax

Then the seat and cowl was completely disassembled, cleaned, polished, waxed.

Then the exhaust got several hours of love and attention to detail

Then it was the front wheel's turn... still need to finish the spokes, then on to the fender, forks, and fork seals.

Glad you decided against chopping up a original CB750 supersport for a cafe project. All this old girl needs is some TLC and you'll have a nice ride. The pipes, tank, and seat look great after cleaning.

+1....good decision. You'll find one down the road that you'll know is a good candidate for a cafe.

Wow - that exhaust cleaned up like new.

Just curious, why do you prefer to post on your blog rather than here?

Yeah... the exhaust really cleaned up well... amazing actually. How did you do that... just hand polishing?

A lot of hand polishing and attention to detail. I'll probably get some pics on here when I have time to sit down at a standard pc instead of my phone. I'm very picky about details and proper repairs and corrections. Just wait until I get to the carburetors.

The blog is because I have other people following this project that have no desire to come here and watch the progress, so I'll try to update both as I go.

I know, it just looks natural. I did decide to put some shorter bars on it since the finish on the originals is rusted beyond repair.

Everything is cleaning up so nicely! Glad you didn't chop it, there weren't an abundance of Sulfur yellow 750F's.

Can anybody tell me where to source new brake hoses? The brake fluid crysrallized over time and I'm sure they are unsafe to use.

Member 'Pampadori' sells hoses at a great price, in either braided stainless, or stock rubber, and he gives discounts to members.

Thanks for the link! I didn't get much done today, spent the day mostly relaxing with the wife, took a walk on the river walk and such. I did finish the front fender. There's heavy pitting, but it seems to have come out halfway decent.

Front hoses are available from Honda but the crimped metal is black. Stock rears are unobtainium. I'd pay good money for a NOS rear!
