« on: June 29, 2006, 03:20:26 PM »
what is the best way to tighten rotor on crank? my thought is put in gear then take off stand so both wheels on the ground and have some put front and rear brakes on.

I'd say you'd be OK just putting it in gear and locking up the rear brake while on the center stand.

Here is what you need:

Torque wrench settings
 Alternator rotor centre bolt: 21.7-29.0ft-lbs.

Little loctite never hurt nobody either!

Good Luck and happy 400ing!
