CB350f Project
« on: June 26, 2006, 07:17:08 AM »
Hey guys,

I am pretty new to this forum community but I just wanted to throw something out and see what ideas might be out there. I have been working on a CB350F that I finally have running and getting into good cosmetic shape. Along the process I received another CB350F that I used mainly for parts but a lot of the parts were junk. Long story short, I have what I need from it now and I tore it completely down to bare frame.

So my question is... What could I do with this (in parts) 350F? I am looking for a project bike.. should I look for a 400F motor? Should I do something completely different? What other motors fit? I still have the original motor too. I am open to about anything. Just wanna have fun with it.

Thanks!

Chris

I know everyone is thinking this, so I'll just go ahead and throw it out there.

Go out and buy 24 chainsaws, all the same color.  Take off the blades and hook them up to the rear wheel.

I think the engine cases for a 350 and 400 are the same?  It might just mount right up, you may want to look one over.

If you don't mind cutting and re-locating your mounts, you can probably stuff whatever will physically fit in there...250 Ninja, Honda CB1, maybe a two stroke dirtbike engine?  Sounds like fun.

You could always fix it up to as close to stock and running condition - and then sell it for the money. these 350s are pretty rare..

RC171/172 350 four Jim Redman, Mike Hailwood Replica.

350F or the 400F motor, both will work.

I have a completly stock 350F(with orig. 4 into 4's) and a cafe project based on a 350 F.  Any specific questions ask... When done I will post...in the interim, I am very familiar with the bike, other options and parts available.
