Action 4's eye-candy
« on: August 18, 2012, 04:29:45 PM »
Here's a treat for all us CB750 junkies:
Just installed this ultra-rare Action Fours header circa 1975 with fresh ceramic coating.

Those are some SHORT headers! How's the power feel with it?

I spotted them on ebay a few months ago by sheer luck. Action 4's made 2 types of headers for CB750's, and  CB500/550's; the short tubes (mine) and the long tubes (Stev-o).

Good info, thx.  How does the ceramic coating compare to chrome as far as look/shine?
One of my chrome mufflers has "faded" and ceramic coating may be the way to go.

Much tougher than chrome, kinda hi-tech looking w/ its satin aluminum sheen, too.

I would kill for that short header. Chop it off right at the end of the collector, that's some sweet chopper stuff right there

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

+1

Think of it this way, you could probably afford to buy enough tubing to build a half-dozen obnoxiously short headers for what you can resell a small-run, highly sought after part for.  http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog/
