Contact them, tell them your make model and year..They will square you away. Best ones out there for the money. I used them.

Hey I have been really swamped with my kids wrestling and preparing for my wife's bday. I will send out the caps by saturday at latest.

Like Christmas all over. Got some new parts in today for my project. New tapered neck bearings, front wheel bearings. new handle bars, new lt switch. Also rounded up enough parts to restore my swingarm to what a K1 should be. And thanks again to Jerry for the hook up for the stuff to freshen up my wiring harness.

Problem ; need to know what years frt fenders are compatible with my K1.

for the future ; correct year tank and side covers, new rear shocks, maybe frt and rear rims and spokes...........

memo to myself ; Make sure wife never reads this thread. lol........................Gary

Hi Gary,
Looks like you have a few parts to keep you busy for a little while at least ;D

The front fender was the same for 71 and 72 - whats wrong with yours?

(maybe I missed it in past posts) Your caliper looks really nice, is that paint or powder coating?

Fender is pretty dinged up and some rust but the braces but the braces are the worst. The biggest problem I have is that the po swapped out the frt end after a crash and doesnt remember what year he swapped it with.

The caliper is powder coated . Got it  off Ebay from a guy in Tennessee. Looks better in person...............Gary

Finally found the time to put my engine back together and after two grueling hours of wrestling with the piston rings.....I finally got them in. Jugs, head, cam timing set, valve towers and rockers all on and adjusted. I havent set the points yet but that part is easy. Somewhere in the future I`ll need a different stator cover as mine is gouged in several places. One more good cleaning and polishing the covers and it will be ready to install. My frame is supposed to finished by next weekend ( keeping fingers crossed ). When I let the guy do my frame it was supposed to done in two weeks. Now fours weeks later and more excuses that you can shake a stick at it, Its still one more week. Will never happen again. My next project will all be under my control...............Gary

Havent posted in awhile for several reasons. I had to put my bass boat in the shop for an intermittent electrical problem and the guy that was supposed to be striping my frame kept putting me off so I finally went and got my parts from him and took the to BWS Soda Blasting Co. in Madison Ga about 30 miles from my house. It took them to two hours to have everything stripped down and it was $75 cheaper !!! Everything has now been primed with a two part etching primer. I`ve ready many stories on here about the many different problems installing the swing arm bushings and the tapered triple tree bearings. But I have figured out by far the easiest method yet........Superior Machine Shop for 20 bucks. lol No hassles, no aggravation. Dropped them off late afternoon and pickup the next morning. Now I`ll take the parts to my friend at the body shop for urethane paint ...............Gary

I took Frame, swingarm, center stand, side stand, upper and lower triples, to be blasted. The battery box and brackets I`ll do myself.

The guy that was going to do the sandblasting was going to charge me $175 BWS did it for a 100 bucks.

Hi Gary,
Looks like progress is being made.  It'll be exciting getting the frame back from painting, then you can start building a bike. ;D
