CB750 F2 Cylinder Studs
« on: August 24, 2012, 06:55:01 PM »
I have ordered a set of HD Cylinder studs and last night I happened to be looking at my parts listing for the F2 and I was surprised to see that there were 3 part nos. I expected only 2 - 12 long and 4 short. The part numbers are:-
90033-300-030      8of      These are the long ones
90033-410-000      4of      These are long as well and look the same as the ones above
90034-300-000      4of      These are the short ones
What is the difference between the two types of long ones? I have looked at the ones in my cases and I can see no difference. They all measure 6mm in the narrow part of the stud. The 410 type appear to be the ones that are blanked off by the capped nuts and copper washers. Thanks, Pat

Not to worry: the HD studs replace them correctly. On the F3 engines, the "410" studs (when new) had a different sheen to them. I suspect they might be harder? Don't know for certain. But, I do know these are the ones that like to splinter when being removed.  :(
