Lost Angeles toy monger
« on: August 21, 2012, 10:39:55 PM »
Hello everyone. Official introduction here.

I'm a big bike guy. I have a few toys already (hopefully outlined in my signature below) but just picked up a CB750 K3 from a friend who's grandfather in law unfortunately parked it into the back of a fire truck on Angeles crest. Slow speed, broken leg and a concussion, but for an 83 year old gentleman, he recovered well and quickly. The bike had a battered front end, but the frame looked good.  300 dollars was hard to turn down, and I love projects so I took the dive.

Pulled the crash damage and have sourced all the bits to swap with a 76 GL1000 front and then work my way through the rest of the machine.  I'll try and post photos from my iPad. (looks like it ain't happening tonight...)

The forum seems great and I am glad to be a part of the SOHC posse now.  Ive always wanted one and this is a great way to go about earning it.

I already have many questions and need a little help finding missing mystery parts so I think I need to start a thread on my build soon. I am also looking for resources in my area.  Honestly I thought that the power of the Interweb would allow me to find the resources I need locally, but it sure has done a good job of eluding me thus far!

Hope your all having fun with your toys.  I enjoy seeing all the great work and advice here and hope to be a contributor myself.

Cheers!
