TON-UP-CLUB any members here?
« on: June 27, 2006, 04:30:27 PM »
I was curious if anyone here rides with any of their chapters or is a member?
I see there is one in Vancouver.

I would, but I would be a Chapter of One.  There's not a chapter near me and no one else that rdies my style of bike nearby.

Thanks for the responses.
ProTeal, how did you initially become involved?
Were you invited?  Did you just show up on their site and introduce yourself?
Did you introduce yourself to the main site 1st? or go to your closest city chapter?

looks like it would be a good bunch to ride with every once in a while ;D

Derek,

I'm over on the Ton-up forum often.......good group of guys. Just be ready to take some hazing for riding a Jap bike.....its all in fun....just need to take it with a grain of salt. We get to give it back with the English jokes every now and then. Seem like a good group of guys/gals.

Been thinking about starting an Ohio based chapter.........sounds like they are all for it.

I wouldn't say a I am "involved" as yet, but I am trying... ;D I met a few of the members at the Mods VS. Rockers show, and got my "foot in the door" so to speak. Then I signed up on http://www.tonup.com , and got my name going over their...

I emailed the Chicago chapter, and they are VERY picky about who becomes members. Their suggestion was to attend a few meetings, and basically "prove" yourself that you aren't some bloake.
They actually have a meeting in the city tonight , but I doubt I will be able to make it... >:(
