Cycleone Manufacturing in Oklahoma
« on: August 21, 2012, 06:46:30 PM »
I sold the green chopper K1 today. I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with CycleOneManufacturing in Oklahoma. The person who bought it was curious about the company. I am just trying to help out a new SOHC member to the family

The guy builds bikes who bought the green K1 frame and engine. I mean really builds. Guy has crazy skills. He was curious about them. I referred him to this site and about HondaMans book. I will refer him to HondaChopper tomorrow and ask him for a pic.

CycleOne...first rate company to deal with. Red and Kate are trustworthy and very knowledgeable with our old Hondas. Kate takes care of the daily ordering and shipping of parts. Red builds frames for almost any kid of bike...whatever design the customer wants. Red's got one of the first softail frames ever made for the SOHC 750....he, he...Red built it...and does sell them now. I've bought three frames from them while they were still in Regina. Just placed a huge order of parts....should be at my door within a week. Top notch real people.....

I've got one of their hard tails on my bobber. First class operation there. I wish every company had the quality and customer service that Cycleone manufacturing has.

Tews ; Had the Honor of meeting Red and Kate this past June at The World Honda Chopper Meet (WHCM,from Hondachopper) ) in North Carolina. Although I've never bought any of his products he is a Well Respected member at "Hondachopper" . While at WHCM I saw quite a number of his frames and he even delivered a couple of his frames to guys at the meet, so I got to see his work without any thing covering it. Right down to the bare metal just as a rolling frame wheels and tires and handlebars. Super Nice Work , I mean Superb Job !! I'm a welder by trade myself and his work IS Excellent ! Like I said at the start, I was Honored meeting him and being able to view his work up close.   ...cougar...

Ease up guys , I am an ego maniac already !! Any more and I'll have to put a bigger tire on the softail the compensate for the increased load of the large head !  Nice to see that we are appreciated ! We are not perfect and do make mistakes , but it's all in how you deal with it when it happens .

Jerry did you ride up from Sturgis to see us ? Or have I got the wrong guy ? Red

Hi Red,

Does 240mm rear tire soft tail frame with a jack shaft sound familiar?  ;) Yeah, we stopped in on our way to Sturgis from riding the Canadian Rockies. Great memory. Dammit, I forgot to order that frame! Actually that project got put on the back burner when I started the restoration of my 75 750F and you were in the middle of a protracted move between 2 countries. The restore is a clutch and dyno tune away from being on the road. Shoulda gone ahead with the build! Probably would've been cheaper. In the mean time I have accumulated 2 more engines (stock 75 F and 78 K), 812 kit, 900 kit, 1000 kit and 1080 kit (all with cylinders) plus other hipo parts. Think that'd work in the chop frame?

Don't you already have a SOHC4 acct?! Thought you were here before. This shows only 1 post.

Are you doing any stock type stuff our guys could get from you now that you are closer?

Jerry

Cool to meet you again ! The softail sounds very familiar now that I think on it some . Any of those motors will work great with it . Our jackshaft has changed completely since then and  works great and allows you to adjust the front chain at the jackshaft and then the rear chain at the back like normal . And no failures on any of them .    That move was out of control , told us 3 months to get in and it took me 18 months to get here . Had sold the shop and everything up north and never built a thing for 2 years !Tough to survive . But all good now , Loving Oklahoma except for about a month in the summer .
I have had an acct here for a long time and rarely say anything  , lots of experts already to help people . Been watching all the performance stuff which is super cool . Not much of a restore it guy , never met a m/c I didn't want to cut up . Part of that I think is because of  a 36 inch inseam which makes finding stuff that fits hard .
We are getting more stuff all the time ,Wurth engine paint which is the closest match for stock I have seen and  lots more check it out on the site under our parts page , if your looking for stuff call Kate she is the best at finding things . Would have posted a link but it wont let me ?
All our stuff is in stock , or we will tell you ,give you an arrival date or suggest someone who does have it .
Sounds like your nearly there with your project , there must be a gravitational pull on these old bikes cause I started with none this time and now the shop is full , sounds like you have the same problem .

I am a m/c junky and I need help !!  There must be a group for us some where .
Longwinded , thanks for the recommendations and good to be part of this community . Red
