I'm thinking of lacing up a set of aluminum rims for my CB500. I love the look of the old Akront shouldered rims but would consider shoulderless as well. Any suggestions as to the best place to buy some?

See if you can find some Honda CB750A aluminum wheels.
They were good quality.

75/76 Goldwings have nice aluminum rims but are the cb500 36 spoke or 40?? If 40 you could lace some GW rims!!

I believe the CB500 was 40 spoke as well.   But, if they aren't, you can buy some at mikesxs.com (yamaha 650 site with some reproduction shouldered rims that are nice and priced right - but they are 36 spoke)
