550 twin brake, which bits work ok?
« on: September 20, 2012, 10:56:20 AM »
Can somebody help please?

I have a 550k3 and although it stops the brakes are pretty poor. I have a second front caliper and swing bracket but wondered what else I need to make the setup work?

I think I need another master cylinder but which one?, does the gl1000 one work ok? Also I need a splitter for the lines below the lower fork tree, the standard one is for one line in and one line out plus a brake switch only. I will need the brake switch so it must run three conections.

Thanks a lot
Simon

On 750 I used dual banjo bolt to split brake lines. Also the original MC is big enough for the dual setup.
