Oil bubbling from cylinder stud
« on: August 30, 2012, 07:02:18 PM »
I was riding my cb500 this week and noticed oil bubbling from the cylinder stud behind cylinder #1. Also now there is a massive oil leak coming from the left side of the head. The exact origin of the leak is unknown at this time. I'll be investigating the leak this weekend.
Has anyone here ever seen oil bubbling out of a cylinder stud?

theres no oil pressure behind those head nuts,im guessing its leaked elsewhere and blown back to that spot, check the end cover o rings and also the alloy washer under the bolt that holds its angle mount bracket,i replace those with copper washers, use one both sides of the bracket where the bolt goes through to the head.
