Early model turn signals on later model 750

The rear turn signals on by K4 750 were bent, scraped up and generally shot, so I ordered some replacements.  Picked up some earlier signals because they are way smaller and just look a little more proportionate to me (I think there were some safety regulations passed in the early 70's mandating huge tail lights and signals on cars as well).  I assumed the stalks would have the same mounting pattern but it looks like the tabs on the current grab bar are not a direct fit.  Would a grab bar from an earlier bike with the correct pattern mount to my frame without modification?  Thanks

No.. the addition of the grab bar changed things. Be crafty, you'll make it fit.

I was never satisfied with the stock winkers,tried aftermarket ones,just didnt look right with the age of the bike .I finally found German Spec CB750 turn signals(repro)Smaller,cooler looking IMO,and period correct(for Germany)

Are the German ones the same as UK? I prefer the UK as they are a bit smaller and a nicer shape than those flat US ones.

Was thinking of doing the same with the turn signals on the 72 cb750 I picked up for a hardtail project I'll get to at some point, I like the smaller look compared to the stock ones on my 78 750. If I don't go that route I'll just trim and mount the stock ones as tight to the frame as I can, I don't hate the stock ones.

Lol Piglet straight up offended by the german style tails.  Thanks for the info, will post up a pic if I get the stock tabs drilled and the blinkers mounted up.  Like 750 says there's always shortening the original blinkers' stalks.

After a lot of searching, I found these... (the little one on the right).  They look similar to the older style, but are way smaller.  The lens is probably around 1 1/4" in diameter (and is a smoked looking amber).  They're made by Posh (Japanese).

I want to do the same thing with my K5.  I think the smaller signals are more "classy".   I have some great earlier model small K signals and was going to buy the F/R stems from CB750 supply.  I bet that I am going to run into the same problem with the rear stems.  Let me know how you figure out the correction.  LOL....us old people need all the "hep" we can get!!

Are your existing signals like the ones Nomad pictured? I thought the K4 came with the small earlier signals on a long stem. Pictures would help.

Those German ones are to angular for me and I don't think it fits the bikes looks. Maybe if the lenses were rounded.

Nomad, where'd you get those Posh signals? I found one or two places that have some but I hadn't seen those turn signals before. I'm looking to change mine out too
