Very cool!   How's it run?

There was a great article in Motorcycle Classics magazine a few months back about a Rickman restore.

Thanks!, Yes probably the only sandcast rickman in the world,I had luck when I found this motor in a junk,so I decide to fit the motor in the rickman.I saw the article in the Motorcycle classic magazine this winter, the same bike except for the tank and seat. This will be a nice combo with the 836 turbo.

I've got a NOS Rickman seat out in my garage mate, but I don't know if it's the same as yours? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Was there 2 tank mounts on Rickman? or is that a tank cover? There was a Rickman Z1 here, had a strap holding the tank on...

On this one: welded steel fuel tank with dummy fiberglass cover. These tanks came out late in the Rickman chassis run when England pushed to eliminate fiberglass fuel tanks.

Earlier models have a narrower tank that's all fiberglass; it was held by a strap.

Also, the fairing on this one is the later version; it is larger than the earlier style. The Rickman brothers attempted to "civilize" the bike in their later versions: larger fairings, larger tanks, dual place seats.  RR

I had one with the same shorter tank/dual seat, but had a more upright touring fairing, twin front discs,+ cast wheels.chucked the fairing, had flattish h/bars,+ with standard engine was great fun, embarrassing several hotted up kawa + suzis of the time,in the twisties.one of my big regret sells.
enjoy!

How do you like those 1969-70 carbs?

I bet they are very smooth.
I wish you could tell us the jetting.
If it is stock jetting what was it?

It's the one on ebay? The one on ebayhave a buy it now of 6000$ I think. But there is many important parts missing. The last seat I saw on ebay sold for 500$,last chain guard last week for 440$,The boranni wheel and betor fork are mostly impossible to find for the CR rickman.
Mine was a deal,I bought it for 1500$ with the 836 forged turbo in it.Finally, the turbo is in my other 750,and the sandcast I found for 60$ is in the rickman.Total cost is about 2500$ for the rickman and 2000$ for the turbo....
