CB750K1 Baffles

Just bought a new set of baffles for my K1..Stupid question..the cloth fibre wrapping that came on the baffles. Does that stay on during installation or is that for shipping purposes? I'm thinking it stays on, but I want to make sure.  thanks Steve

On I believe...I still have some wrecked originals in a drawer, rusted to holey heck...and they still have the fibre wrapping (glassfibre I think).

The wrapping stays on. At least I left them on mine. Helps little with noise reduction I think.

Yep, it's not glassfibre, I think it's felt or something similar. I wired mine on just to make sure. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks guys for input. I was thinking about wiring mine on also, just to hold them in place...Steve

Make sure to put a little loc-tite on the bolts that hold them in.  After I put baffles in my K1 a few years ago a bolt worked loose and I blew one out on the way to work one morning.  Luckily I remembered where I was when I noticed a slight change in the sound and found it on my way home later that day.
