Another CB500 on the Streets of Los Angeles
« on: September 08, 2012, 06:08:54 PM »
Hey all,

I'm a new rider who got the bug about four months ago.  After looking at all the options out there, I realized nothing is quite as sexy as a 1970s Honda.  I went back and forth between getting a CB500 or a CL450.  In the end, the Four won out.  Here she is!  Full size pictures are on Flickr (same user name).

Welcome from North Carolina leddy.Very nice CB500, looks stock except for the pipes. I think you made the right choice getting sohc4. Plenty of info and good people here to help. These bikes are a blast to ride and will get attention where every you go. Looks like somebody took care of this bike. How did you find it and do you know any history on the bike?

Just in time!

Since you're from LA you should head over toward Venice Beach next saturday for the VVMC Meet.

Not putting miles on your bike is like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.

Hey dhall57 and Stev-o, I bought the bike from a guy in Nebraska.  Other than the standard "this was garage kept for decades" spiel, I didn't learn too much of the history from him.   I had to clean the carbs and I replaced filters and a few cables, but now it runs like a dream.

NewOldSchool, I was (and am) planning on heading over to the rally next Saturday.  The only thing better than one of these machines is hundreds!
