'78 750 rear shock question
« on: September 03, 2012, 08:45:30 PM »
Current shock 13.5, considering going to a shorter size probably 12.5, maybe shorter strictly for looks, but I am concerned about a negative effect on ride or handling.  200# solo rider stock rims.  Any experience would be helpful.  Significant weight loss to original bike.

the first thing that comes to mind is you may run into clearance issues if you bottom out while on your 12.5 shocks(depending on what you do with the rear fenders)

The 11.4 inch shorty shocks make the bike the perfect height.
You do not have to lower the front either.

I will post a pic of my 78 with that set up.
Stock kickstand too.

Thanks.  I like the 11.4. I am not using a conventional fender so clearance should not be an issue.  Next to see if dime city has a black set in stock.
