New sign for the shop - do you think I made my point?
« on: June 30, 2006, 04:49:47 PM »
I made this sign up today. Arrived at the shop and the guy next to me was apparently popular. I could not even get a spot in front of my shop to park! WTF >:(  >:(

SO... I made these signs to get my point across.

But knowing the populous around here..... They would go Unauthorized?, dag gum dat a big werd dare, Earl? What do dat big dag gum werd mean any how?  :P They would understand sold and scrap but the rest of the sign is a loss  ;D.

A Wide Open Throttle guy stuck in and idling town..................... :-\

I'll bet I will get a suprise visit if I dash out with the jacks and jack stands and take all the wheels off thier damn truck NASCAR style.  ;D The first time I give back the wheels. The second time sell them back to them at top dollar  8) ::) ;D.

I do still have some expanding exhaust plugs that could go to good use. But here the damn exhaust is NEVER complete, so it would not work.  ???

Working on a biz card that reads something to the effect that next time I will scrap the truck and that they got off lucky this time.

I think something like:

"If I see a car parked here that I don't like, it will be soaked with gasoline and burned to the ground." might get the point across.

I like those.

I go back to hang the signs and the dumb ass has his wreck parked, or should I say piled up in one of my spots. Just getting real sick of it.

This is about the only thing I will remain anal about.

All statements of the text for the "do not park here sign" are good. I just figured I had to be bold to get my point across. I have been nice for a month and it has only gotten worse.

I dunno man, while I like the sign, i'm unsure if it would help. Kinda seems like too much of a joke. If it were me i'd park there just to be an ass for someone putting up a sign like that. But then again, i'm kind of a jerk. If it were me i'd put up the sign, but leave out the parting out for scrap bit, put in "will be towed at the owners expense". Then watch it like a hawk, everytime a non-customer parks there, call the tow truck. Word will spread to the place next door and you can get to see the faces of every dumbass that parked there anyway.

Do you own the building?
If not maybe job could get with the owner and get permission to repaint the lines in this area. make sapces that are only big enough for motorcycles then make sure to have a siign that states "Motorcycle parking only" If that doesnt work consider putting in a couple of poles so that cars can't park in these spots. might cost you a few bucks but if you need those spots then it will be worth it.

He was asking for it. Anymore and the guy would have filled out a "Special Circumstances PKMA-101 Form" (Please Kick My Ass - Lesson 101 Form).  ;D

Anyway I would do the motorcycle parking only, but that just does not work because most guys coming to me are not riding their bikes at that time as it is taken apart at home. Usually they are driving a truck and looking for parts.

You see, I have two other guys on staff. We will remove the wheels and tires NASCAR style on the next offender. We figure with two big jacks and two Heavy Duty Ingersol Thunder Guns we can have the bugger on stands in about 30 seconds. ::)

I did call the owner of the building this afternoon. And, viola.... my spaces were empty when I came back through later.

No, no. It was just a glancing blow... After he burned his leg!  ;D ;D (I would have applauded too, BTW)

I like the sticker idea. One that says something like "Can't you read, dumbsh*t? Customer parking ONLY!" It wouldn't even have to be that big. Just super sticky and right in the middle of his field of vision. If you take his wheels off, chances are some brat will sue you for scratching his rims.

They can sue all they like. They will get nothing but another tag in the ear and my bike club in thier lawyers office.  ;) ;D If people are too dumb to read they this becomes thier problem. I am sick of dumb people and I REFUSE to forgive them.

My buddy has a sign that says "Stupidity is not a disability, PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE" I amy borrow it.
