The swingarm has that small bracket to keep it from rotating. Obviously, the most strenght would be attained if the bracket was in the very front of the swingarm, right where the shocks bolt to. I guess that would spoil the "rigid" looks, so instead of that little bracket, maybe he could make do by welding a thick gusset in the rear angle. That would add great strenght and would be unconspicous...
As soon as I watched the bike, two modern bikes came to my mind. The fact that nobody else have mentioned them should mean that they has not sold in America. I'm talking about the Kawasaki ER-5 and the Yamaha MT-03
