well i've benn fighting these carbs for awhile #2 leaks messed with the float several times could never get it to stop cleaned them out had.still leaks, well today i got a wild hair up my a$$ took the bowl off while it was still on the bike the bowl still had fuel in it i was holding it and pondering my next move when i discovered that it was still leaking. what the hell? put a little more fuel in it and it was the over flow tube it must have a small crack in it. put another bowl on it problem solved so now i'm off for a nice sunday ride around the lake.

I bet that made you happy to clearly see the problem.
You can just clean that brass overflow tube with steel wool or sandpaper and put solder on it. Easy to repair.
