B.O.X.N.I.F.E. needs our help
« on: September 09, 2012, 07:09:24 pm »
I just found out today that our own Trevor Ware (aka B.O.X.N.I.F.E. on SOHC/4) was the victim in a serious drunk driver hit and run a few days ago.  Riding in his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, he was pummeled by a car who never even stopped, dragging his poor CB550 beneath his car until it broke away.  I am furious and heartbroken.  Trevor is a great contributor to our SOHC/4 community and an inspiration for many, including myself.  I envy what he has been able to do and what he is yet to accomplish.  He is currently in a coma, expected to last for weeks.

Please read more and see the local news clip, here:
http://www.todaysthv.com/news/article/225672/2/At-10-Family-of-I-40-hit-and-run-victim-speaking-out

This is why I love this guy:

Trevor and his family will need support.  I am stepping up.

Damn, that is #$%*ty to hear.
Sounds like his run in has a checkered driving history.

Let's hope he pulls through.

I can't believe it, either.  This guy is out, free, while Trevor is laid up, unconscious and in the fight of his life.

I don't really know what to say.  I've been showing his video to everyone I know that's into bikes.  I really hope he's ok.

Is there a plan in place to help, or some way we can help?

I know his family will appreciate donations.  They have a goal of $10,000.  I don't know if that will be enough.  My girlfriend and I are designers (she's a graphic designer, I'm an architect).  She is designing an graphic to market as a t-shirt design.  It will be available for purchase by tomorrow.  All proceeds will go to Trevor's family to help him on his road to recovery.  I will post up the link as soon as it's ready.  And I will be the first to buy one.  OK, I'm actually buying two.  I hope you will pass this along to everyone who can help out.

Get well soon Trevor. My thoughts are with you, your family and friends.

I watched the news footage and wondered why, at the very end of the "suspects" rap sheet there was a picture of a guy with the word "manslaughter"?
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I will have the shirts up later today.  The graphic turned out really nice - I can't wait to share it with everyone.

It's the medical fund donation campaign established by Trevor's family.  I believe it to be honest and stable.  I donated there, myself, this morning.

The shirt looks good, but Zazzle.com is taking up to 24 hours to finalize the availability.

Please consider buying a shirt.  All money generated goes straight to Trevor's recovery fund.  And you can show support for our friend every time you wear it.
