I sent an email to the editor........

I was disturbed to find the video "When were you Young" on your youtube channel with no credit given to its originator.

As you are probably now aware, the video was created by Trevor Ware.

I and many others are curious. Please explain.

Regards,

I'm friends with Trevor on Facebook. He's doing well, but has good days and bad. He'll reply to some posts and seem absolutely fine. His family posts about the struggles....insurance, doctors, Trevor's problems with both the brain injury and the physical recovery...and it seems overwhelming at times.

Trevor is doing great and has an awesome support team. Please, guys.... Don't drink and drive and ALWAYS wear a helmet. Your personal choice to go without a bucket doesn't affect just you.

It looks like they're giving Trevor credit for the video now....and a link to contribute.

Hello to all; over the last year, I have became a friend of Trevor's family, and have been keeping the inmates over on ADVrider.com updated as to his progress. Please scroll down through the following thread where I took a trip last summer following his Go West Young Man route; contained in the report are pictures of his progress,  as well as an epic sidecar trip we took him on in September...

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=941454

you have to be an ADV member to access the the following link, here is where I do a much more detailed report of his situation and progress, titled "kerncounty kid's recovery:

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=831775

and another concerning his accident:

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828617

I will post more in the future; in the meantime, feel free to contact me at anytime with any questions.

thanks for your support,

Bret

Thanks for the kind words; Trevor still bleeds Honda red; a while back I had a Bonneville and a Nighthawk 750, both black and very similar. I asked Trevor which I should keep; his reply: "sell the Triumph, make money, ride the Honda"

He is determined to walk again, and asks Pam many times daily when he is going to have surgery; although there has been improvement since I met him, his short term memory is very bad. His next appointment is at the end of February, should find out more then.

Thanks for your support.

Thanks for the update, dogjaw!!! We have all been wondering for a while now what "B.O.X.N.I.F.E" stands for?? Can you ask Trevor to answer this mystery?

I've asked Trevor and Pam that very question; Pam never knew, and Trevor can't remember many things of his life before the wreck.

The irony is that I thought I had found the answer when I stumbled across this forum, even searching for the answer in some of his older posts, but no success. I'm hoping that his memory will recover as his condition improves.

Finding this forum is just another in a long list of many "coincidences" since becoming involved in helping Trevor; 2013 started out to he a very crappy year, but this situation has caused it to be one of the best if my life.

Though it does suck that it takes a tragedy like this to get people pulling together, but I guess that's human nature, eh?

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I am not sure of the exact details, but what I do remember was the guy that hit him had had multiple DWI's but he came from a wealthy family so I guess that made it OK? I was hoping that they would break it off in his ass this time but I never heard what came of it as far as trial/ conviction.

Nathan Ray pled guilty in May, he received 26 years, will be eligible for parole in 6, which is a travesty. Ray's  car was fitted with breathalyzer due to a previous conviction, but he was driving his mother's Mercedes when he hit Trevor; as the civil case doesn't even start until 2/14, the Ray's have had lots of time to squirrel away money, or possibly declare bankruptcy, won't know until closer to the trial date.

I was in the courtroom at Ray's sentencing, and the lack of remorse was sickening. When I read Trevor's ride reports or watch his video and see what he was capable of before that night, and how truly gifted he was, it saddens me that such a force of nature was struck down, but I also think that great good will eventually come from this situation. You don't have to be around him for very long to see that, even in his greatly diminished state, Trevor is still a remarkable guy, and his mother, Pam, is off of the charts in her dedication to his cause. If you can make a donation to the everribbon site, please flag it with "SOHC" so that Trevor can see where his support is coming from.
