Been thinking about Trevor this week.  Very glad he got the girl he wanted after all.  The sidecar was a nice gesture too.

Speaking of sidecars, can anyone find out if Trevor would want to do Bonneville again?

 From Trevor's mom:

https://www.facebook.com/pamela.ware.5/posts/10217798625251449

And if you can't see the link:

I just wanted to let everyone know that just after Christmas we were notified that Trevor's offender, Nathan Ray is up for parole again. The hearing is set for April 15th. Once again we are asking every person who sees this message to write to the parole board and ask that parole be denied. Anything at all would be appreciated. Nathan's plea bargain was 7-25 years. He faced 42 which I think would have been just but rarely does a drunk driver get punishment that is fair to the victim. Trevor is experiencing the massive brunt of the consequences of Nathan's actions and will for the rest of his life. There is no parole for Trevor. Nathan is classified as a hardcore offender. He killed Brian Jackson in 2005, multiple DWI, parole violations and out on bail for drunk driving (crashed into a utility pole) and out on bail and parole violation when he hit Trevor. He has multiple disciplinary infractions in prison including several under the influence and he has made no efforts to contact Trevor despite being told it could help Trevor heal to know that Nathan is really making a sincere effort to change. Nathan has been given so many second chances. I believe it's time to protect his potential victims. Nathan is still a danger to society at large. I have no doubt he will offend again when out of prison. Many of you know that Trevor has in his words been " blessed by God" to have found a beautiful, kind and compassionate woman who loves him. She sees his humanity and his sweet soul beyond the brain injury and they are having a baby this summer. It's a blessing beyond measure. My worry is that some people will think it's no longer important to pay attention to Nathan. What is important is to not let Nathan benefit from what Trevor has worked for, prayed for and never given up on the hope for. Trevor still has a brain injury and it will continue to effect every single day of his life. He will be a wonderful dad but he will not get to be the dad he would have been. Nathan took away so much and would do it again given the opportunity. Please support our efforts to keep him off the streets and pray with us that he will come to truly understand what he has done throughout his life that has harmed so many people and pray with us that he will change. I'll put the parole board information below. Please copy my email so that I can document it. I try and send information to the facility he's at.(they change) It helped keep him from getting  a furlough.
We appreciate your time more than you know. Thank you.
Letters and emails have a deadline before April 7th

Tie him to the front grille of his car and face it at a concrete wall, then put the car in drive and lay a heavy Flagstone on the gas pedal.

While I'm a firm believer in giving good folks who've made a terrible mistake a second chance, repeat offenders like that POS should never be released to be given a chance to re-offend. The fact that he killed someone and was released so he could do it all again and almost killed James is disgusting, and a failure of the justice system. If he was doing the time he deserved for killing some other poor mothers son, James would still be alive and well (as opposed to barely alive and very unwell) and sharing his adventures with us all.

Release him, and let us know where and when, so we can arrange an appropriate welcome party for him. What a turd.
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I found Trevor's video online, "randomly", last fall. It is what led me to read his entire story/blog, return to this forum, and work to get Truck ready to go back out on the road.

Incredibly tragic, and yet inspirational, story.

Dear Parole Board,
I am writing to you to provide victim input regarding the parole hearing of Nathan Ray, Inmate# 154991. Mr. Ray's willful disregard for others' lives and the law has led to severely altered lives for many individuals and groups. I ask that you weigh the evidence of Mr. Ray's crimes and the likelihood of him repeating his previous actions and deny him the freedom of parole, thereby protecting more innocent victims.
I am a part of a group that did not know Trevor Ware (Nathan's most recent victim) in person, but I am inspired by the life Trevor once lived as well as the life he continues to live despite the traumatic brain injury caused by Nathan. As a motorcycle enthusiast I have followed Trevor's experiences online. From his days of joyful motorcycle building and riding to his current state of being unable to ride but still loving his hobby, I have been inspired to live life differently because of Trevor's passion.
While Trevor has made amazing strides in his recovery, the burden of the injury caused by Mr. Ray's negligence will never be erased. I plead with you to not allow this to happen again. Keep Mr. Ray incarcerated.
Sincerely,

Photo: Trev and Savannah at home.
Trev's mom here, he's letting me go first, so first let me say I'm sorry I can't keep up with the absolute tsunami that is the brotherhood of ADV riders responses to the request for support yet again in keeping Nathan Ray in prison. Trevor loves this community and over the years I've seen first hand why. Before his injury he loved sharing his adventures and the adventures of other inmates. He gained so much knowledge....about motorcycles, about travel on two wheels and about people. I was always so surprised at how social Trevor was on his trips.I was a fan of his ride reports. I always loved my son but I've said for years that I get to really like him too and he taught me the best lesson ever. What really matters is the experience and the people. He lived that and lives it still. Thank you so much for speaking out on Trevor's behalf. For not forgetting him even though you don't hear from him often. We've had some really rough years but I think things are about to push forward in a big way. We'll share more and keep everyone updated (I'm not sure the protocol for what should be posted but I'll learn!!) For now I just want to say that I am so humbled and grateful for each one of you.

Here's Trev....This community is my outlet for the inner workings of my mechanical abilities. Thank you all for caring and being supportive in so many ways. I want to be able to offer something back. I loved taking trips and coming home and spilling my guts in ride reports. For the betterment of the motorcycle adventure community, keeping Nathan Ray in jail keeps him off all our tails. What you guys have done for me is so appreciated by myself and my family. Thankx everybody!!

Sadly, these are those the prisons were created for.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

 From Trevor's mom:

Nathan Ray was granted parole. Not what we wanted to hear. We just pray that he doesn't hurt anyone else. We found out after the meeting that the reentry program he went through this year deemed him a maximum risk. Parole for a hardcore offender considered a maximum risk? Trevor deserves better.

WOW, that is terrible news for Trevor and the rest of us who are out on the roads. Unfortunately Nathan Ray is far from being the only repeat offender to be sent back out into the world.
