Let the law deal with the criminal side of things but I think it may be time for some legal advice on the civil side.  The perps family has money...it should not be too hard to find a good lawyer willing to take a look at the case.  You and the family should not be ruined financially because of this...make the bastard pay.  With the expectation of a sizable settlement you may be able to look at better care for Trevor.

This just popped up as an unread post since my last visit.  I really sorry to hear about Trevor's accident.  I had seen a picture of the shirt on Facebook but didnt make the connection with SOHC or BOXNIFE.

Trevor hang in there and please make a complete recovery.  I sent a donation via Felicia's pay pay account, I hope it helps.

Bought a shirt, for this and it is REALLY a nice one. Felicia, I am SO sorry to hear about Trevor's situation. Trevor is in our Prayers and when we can, we will make a donation, to his cause. Trevor is VERY fortunate to have YOU, to share his life with. Proud that you are doing ALL that you can, in looking out for him. We sure are glad to have updates, so we can know how things are going. Trevor is Quite The Young Man and has SO much to live for. I am originally from Little Rock myself, so this has extra meaning to me. Hang In There Girl, You are Quite The Lady!

We do have a lawyer to deal with everything. We believe he's good and he's well known around here. We got that good feeling about him. It's a huge relief.

Thanks for all the support. It really helps both of us!

Has anyone been in touch with the driver's insurance company?

Insurance companies won't pay a dime until things are settled in each area of coverage. Vehicle is often treated separately from personal injury. So, hospital has to be fended off by lawyers when bills start arriving. Ususally that works in many cases but sometimes the bean counters start getting involved. It gets messy.

My families prayers are with you. Someone please tell me how I order the male t shirt.. I read every post and followed the link... Still shows up as a females shirt..

Has anyone else bought a t-shirt?  I got one and little did I know that it was going to be the women's model.  Now that I double checked the website, I don't think a men's is available.

Please post a pic of you  wearing the female tshirt and I will mke a donation for you being a good sport...

edit: I think we should move this into the technical thread.... Even though it would in the wrong area, I think it would get more exposure..... I feel like crap reading it this late....

Go to Zazzle and search for Trevor Ware.
You probably need to view other STYLES in the drop down box, as it defaults to the female baby doll tshirt.
For a man's shirt select Value Tshirt, Basic Tshirt, American Apparell Tshirt, Organic Tshirt, Polo, 3/4 sleeve raglan, etc.
Pricing can vary greatly on size and if the shirt is an American or foreign made.

Hope that helps!

The most recent update I have is that Trevor is opening his eyes more and more, along with moving his hand around.  It's not 100% clear whether he's doing it voluntarily at this point.  He has been breathing on his own for a couple of weeks, now.

Medical costs, coverage and rehab placement are very real issues his family is dealing with on a constant basis, now.  They know we are all cheering for him.  There will be a silent auction in Little Rock this weekend to help raise funds.  If anyone is local, perhaps you could check it out at White Water Tavern, a local spot where Trevor and his band played often

Hello Everyone!

Trevor is doing I think really well lately. He got the trach taken out and is doing good breathing on his own thru his nose and mouth. We are doing more OT/PT on him. His mom and I are learning how to take care of him with feeding and everything else. So we are heavily involved with the nurses. This is defiantly a full time job and I don't mind one bit. I will not be helping cleaning him up so we can still have our romance factor. :)  He's moving his right hand a lot and keeps pulling at his wires/sticky pads so much so that they come off. I've seen him move his head about 2 inches. It's laying on it's left side mostly b/c of his head injury. So I think 2 inches a lot especially since he's turning it toward his right side. His eyes are opening more and for longer periods. The next step of progress should be him to start moving them just a little bit then start tracking things. We have a scale of conscious now to judge him. It's not a set in stone thing but is something to give us ideas of where he's at. He's still low on the scale but he just needs time. Almost every time (if he is "awake") you touch him and start talking to him he'll open his eyes. He still hates to be messed with so his heart rate and breathing goes up. He's still very much a night owl so I try to leave the TV or music on for him till at least until 2/3AMish.

We most likely get to take him home this Friday. I think that's a sign, that we get to take him home on the day of his benefit show. I haven't ever drank before but I am going to have a Red Stripe with Lime since that is Trevors favorite drink. I know he'd want to party with his friends so that's my little way of having him there. We are going to do home care instead of a nursing home. We've found an apartment that will better suit him than the 20's style house we rent. I'm going to sign a 6 month (since this is just temporary) lease today. The neuro doc said he would not sign off on anything that Trevor was not ready for. We absolutely love him! He's so kind to him and genuinely cares about Trevors overall health and is a huge supporter of home care vs nursing home.

The lawyer and the prosecutor have been incredibly helpful and we have talked/shown so much of Trevor too them that I feel like that have a personal interest in the case and want to do the best for Trevor; that he's just not another case. The lawyers are going to take the family to the cleaners. The family does have good insurance and the lawyers are dealing with all of that now. I don't recall if I told everyone, but 2 of the 4 charges have been moved up to federal felonies and each carry up to 10 years which can be stacked on top of each other. The lawyer expects the other charges to get bumped up and possibly a couple more charges to get added. Strange enough the law office's owners daughter knows Trevor. The owner also asked to work on the case with the lawyer we hired. I have a strong feeling that Nathan's (the guy that hit Trevor) final days are numbered (he's currently sitting in jail b/c his bail was revoked). This is defiantly the wrong family to mess with and this will be the final straw for him. He's not getting off the hook this time! We are going to pack the court house when his trial comes around. We have to be incredibly non emotion as to not cause a miss trial. We've heard rumors that it'll be on Nov. 27. That's Trevor's birthday. I can't imagine a better present that to send that guy to prison for a long long time and then to find out that Trevor is going to get the best care he can going forward.

I'm getting incredibly excited about his benefit show this Friday. Check out the a few of the awesome drawings that are up for auction. I'm still just incredibly great-full for all of the support and generosity of everyone!

Thanks for recommending that Ken. It wasn't the him though. :( Maybe I'll get a call at some point on his phone.

I think I answered all of your questions. Let me know if I missed something and as always feel free to email me at feliciamfox@gmail.com I truly don't mind being asked multiple times for an update. I preapologize if it's not a swift response, but I will get you one. :)

Thanks again for everything!!

Felicia

Hi Felicia. Sorry if I gave you a bum steer about Ken. The only other place I can think of to contact is Buchanan's (sp?). They specialize in wheels and spokes..
The home care plan is MUCH better than a nursing home, IMHO. Being with people that love him can have miraculous effects. Have you ever seen his posts about Bonneville from 2 years ago? I recognized the pic immediately in the video, even though it flashed by in milliseconds!

Sending positive vibes, thoughts and prayers from here in Nebraska. I've always enjoyed reading Trevor's posts and tour reports, we've got a great community of awesome people here. I'm a little late on receiving the news about the accident but I will be waiting and checking in for any and all updates.

Has anyone been in touch with the driver's insurance company?

That's what they hired an ambulance chaser for; to harass the driver and extract money from the insurance company.
That's part of the reason you hire an ambulance chaser- so you don't have to bother with insurance mouthbreathers or any other idiots.

Though we all like to hear about it, YOU have your hands full and don't need the added concern about us. You are doing a Fantastic job of taking care of things.
