Independent head/taillight connections
« on: September 10, 2012, 06:03:02 PM »
So I've got a new taillight that Im wanting to run, but Im unable to get running and brake going together, so let me start there.

First off it is a dual filament bulb so it is capable, at this point I've got these wires to run but can't figure the right combo.

BLK from keyswitch and BR from keyswitch
BLK from pigtail rear brake switch and GR/Y from pigtail rear brake switch
There is also 2 connection points on the front brake pressure switch that I'd like to run as well
BLK from taillight and GR from taillight (also running a ground to frame)

Heart of the matter is that Im not getting running light, any suggestions?

As for the headlight, I've got the 3 connection points on the back of the lamp, a 3 way toggle switch, and no idea.

Lastly, what is the BR/W line coming off the keyswitch for?

Thanks for any insights folks

cprice ; I'm not sure what year/model your working on, so here is a link < http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/wiring750K1.html > to an "interactive" diagram that is of factory design that you can use or remove whatever you like. Hope this helps !   ...cougar...

actually,

after a little tinkering I got the headlight up and running with off, high, and low running throw a dimmer switch.  So now I just need to get the brake light and switches going, any help is much appreciated.
