They are totally different but the parts needed to make it fit are very easily attained.  The only thing you would need to make them fit is the different exhaust collars and mating collars.  You can find those on eBay pretty easily.

And you're much more likely to find a set of 77 or 78 4-into-4's at a reasonable price than you will for earlier years.  For instance, I paid $300 SHIPPED for my set of OEM Honda 4-into-4's that I put on Stella.

Forget stock Ken at cycle X herd us!  He has build 4 into 4 CR replica headers, and is working on a full setup.

That's great.  But at $350 just for the headers, I have to imagine you're going to be close to, if not more than a grand for the whole setup.

$1k for something that will never rust or $1,600 for something with limited shelf life.  Look at those headers no seams.  Made by Ken not in some 3rd world country.

The original DID rims that are 40 years old often have been weld seams than the junk from Thialand.  Where do yo think re-pops are made?

Will these fit on American bikes?

Long story.......short. I emailed the guy and he sent me an item number. Well shipping was $200 which is more than reasonable but the cost of the pipes was a whopping $3200!
Yes, but shipping is not shown.

Ultimate thread resurrection!

I seem to have found some newly available replicas at David Silver Spares

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB500K0-FOUR-1971-USA/genuine-spares/part_273945/

These were not there last time a checked about a year ago.  With current exchange rate the set is about $1050.

Has anyone tried these?  Are there any American sources for these replicas that anyone knows about?

To anyone else who has been searching for a replica 4 into 4 exhaust for the CB500, I can say that the David Silvers Spares set ended up being an excellent choice.  Quality looks good, the fit was excellent, and the sound is excellent.  They're even stamped HM323, and I dare say I couldn't find any signs they weren't OEM.  They're pricey, but if you have to have originality, I highly recommend these.

I should mention that I believe David Silver Spares just resells a set made by CMS.  When I got the box, the CMS logo was on everything.

So, anyone ordered new OEM exhaust from David silver spares lately? What is the quality?
Are they worth the price or are they cheap?
Not that I have enough $ right now, but hopefully in the near future....I would really like to restore my 1971 to OEM as the current pipes are rusty 2 into 2's that look horrible.

I placed an order for the repo 4 into 4 pipes from CMS (they provide to David Silver Spares, same pipes).

The fit and finish is excellent:

Hello everyone,
I realize this is an old post but a lot of you seem to be in the know so here it goes.
I have a 1982 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk with only 16000km on it (Apox. 10000Miles).  The original 4 into 4 exhaust has been replaced with a patched together 4 into 2.   The bike is in really nice original condition and I would prefer to keep it looking as stock as possible.  The 4 front chrome headers are mint but the rest is junk.   Does anyone have any ideas for me?
I would love to keep it as a 4 into 4 if possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers!

And you're much more likely to find a set of 77 or 78 4-into-4's at a reasonable price than you will for earlier years.  For instance, I paid $300 SHIPPED for my set of OEM Honda 4-into-4's that I put on Stella.

Bryanj, Can you tell me the key words to search for to find the different exhaust collars and mating collars? I have a HM404 exhaust, but a '73 CB500
